Marine mammals

My work on marine mammals began with necropsies in Mauritania (1996–1999) (monk seal, Delphinidae, etc.) and continued in New Caledonia (2002–2013) (dugong, pygmy sperm whales), leading to publications on the blue whale, pygmy killer whales and other mammals stranded in the South Pacific.

I have also been involved in studies of the behavioral ecology of Delphinidae in the wild in the Azores, French Polynesia and New Caledonia, as well as of killer whales in the Subantarctic.
